Used by maintenance personnel at the point of service, Guide Mobile devices provide unparalleled assistance in daily operations. Guide Mobile devices bring up-to-date technical documentation combined with work assignments directly to maintainers.

Guide Mobile eliminates the need to constantly pause activities, allowing:

  • Technical Documentation provisioning
  • Access to work assignments
  • Automated reporting of work progress and status
  • Accumulation of know-how
  • Creation of deficiency reports (malfunctions, squawks etc)
  • Creation of site and equipment surveys
  • Assistance in acceptance tests, customer reviews and inspections

Guide Mobile helps technical personnel
stay focused on their job.

Guide Mobile utilizes a Mobideo proprietary (patent pending) user interface architecture called TouchUI™. Using TouchUI to display technical content helps users to avoid losing their orientation within the procedure and eliminates problems caused by missing steps or not following documentation in its correct order. TouchUI enables stylus-free operation. Users will be able to operate the device using nothing but the touch of their fingers.

Collecting data

Collecting Squawks with Guide MobileGuide Mobile enables inclusion of input fields, checkups and calculations within the content. Users will be prompted to enter survey data while they work such as serial numbers of replaced parts, amount of fuel etc. Input fields can be automatically filled by using an integrated barcode reader, optional camera or RFID. Input data may be validated or used to perform automatic checkups and calculations required as part of maintenance procedures, thus aiding maintainers in their execution.

Accumulating knowledge

Maintainers can use the Guide Mobile device to add various types of call-outs. The system supports reporting issues like failures and defects found during work, with or without breaking an ongoing procedure. Additionally, Guide Mobile allows for attachment of personal and public notes, submission of messages and calls for assistance.

Ready for real world environments

The Guide Mobile Notification SystemWork assignments dispatched by an external Maintenance Management System alert the maintainer. The Maintainer can then examine their assignment list and initiate a new task while pausing current assignment. Users can continue ongoing assignments in any device connected to the same Guide GroundControl server.

The Guide System can be configured to operate in mixed environments and in situations ranging from no network coverage and up to online live secure wireless communications. In most system configurations, once a Guide Mobile device detects a network connection to its GroundControl server, it will automatically initiate a synchronization operation with it.

The synchronization operation may include new documentation updates, work assignments, messages and configuration settings downloaded to the mobile device, while accumulated activity data and reported issues and notes are uploaded back to the Guide GroundControl server. A manual synchronization process may also be initiated by the maintainer, depending on system configuration.
