November 25, 2008 – Bethesda, Maryland – Mobideo Aerospace, a leading global provider of mobile maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) knowledge systems for the aerospace and defense industry, announced today the appointment of (ret.) Lt. Gen. Dan Haloutz to its advisory board. Haloutz who served as Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff and Israel Air Force (IAF) Commander brings to Mobideo over four decades of aviation and military experience on behalf of one of the world's elite defense forces.

“We are extremely honored to add Haloutz to our advisory board," said Yaron Eppel, CEO of Mobideo Aerospace. "His extensive experience – from serving as a combat pilot, through commanding one of the most distinguished air forces in the world, to heading the world-renowned IDF – is a real asset to our Company. We are confident that his deep familiarity with the aviation industry will help our groundbreaking mobile MRO knowledge system, Guide™, gain further traction in the US and worldwide."

A graduate of the IAF combat flight school, Haloutz joined the force's first F-4 Phantom squadron in 1969. After receiving a BA in Economics from Tel Aviv University, Haloutz returned to the IDF. Among the many highlights during his more than 37-year career as a fighter pilot, Haloutz carried out dozens of operational flights in wartime situations, trained to pilot the F-16 jet fighter, and commanded a Phantom squadron. After several air force promotions, Haloutz was named IAF Commander in 2000. In that capacity, he implemented a number of reforms including tightening cooperation with the ground forces and security services, expanding the use of UAV drones as an effective scouting and reconnaissance tool, and upgrading precision-strike capabilities in jet aircraft and helicopter gunships. In addition, he was instrumental in sharply reducing the number of accidents and aerial failures. Following his IAF tenure, Haloutz was named IDF deputy chief of staff, and soon thereafter was appointed IDF Chief of Staff.

“I'm pleased to become a member of Mobideo Aerospace's advisory board," Haloutz said. "The Company has brought MRO knowledge systems to an unprecedented level through the introduction of Guide™. By streamlining the maintenance floor operations and closing the loop of the maintenance cycle, Guide™ improves aircraft availability and feeds real time business parameters to Management”.
